quarantined
Panama city under quarantine. 76 days locked in and counting |
in January 2011 I decided to start a 12 month project: to photograph my family -myself included- every month of the year, soon it took a life of its own.
It has become a study in the passage of time. On aging. On the little things that we didn’t even know were important. It’s what we hold and what we wear that often holds the key. The little unnoticed gestures that overtime hold most meaning.
It has slowly also evolved into a new way of looking at the oldest tradition in photography, the family portrait. We stand immutable, even if ever changing, against a backdrop that continuously fluctuates.
